What I’m Politicing: The Forced Volunteerism Act AKA the GIVE/SERVE Act

2009 March 25

Instead of whining about Republicans who aren’t conservative enough and Presidents who are vapid, I thought I’d say something positive:

Good job, Sen. Thune, for voting against HR 1388!  Boo, Sen. Johnson and Rep. Herseth, for voting for it!

Saw this speech by Jim DeMint about the Bill at Michelle Malkin’s blog. It’s well worth watching because it is rare today to see a politician make an argument from principle rather than consequence… and it is especially rare to see a Republican make an argument from conservative principle!

Also, this analysis of the bill at Uknow I am Right is worth a read.  According to the author, this legislation is important to the Obama administration as community organizing is central to Obama’s politics.

I know! That’s the kind of principled argument *we* all should promote and reward with support!

    Freaking sweet!
